Dream Daddy, a dating sim developed by Game Grumps, boasts hilarious dialogue and genre-bending mini-games with every date. You play a single Dad who dates other dads, all the while raising your amazing teenage daughter, Amanda. You must choose from one of seven dads, including the cute fitness daddy, the soulful coffee shop daddy, the Victorian gothic daddy, or the controversially married-to-a-woman youth minister daddy. The game features some of the best-written dialogue of any dating sim and explores touching moments of dating and parenting.

Since I probably have the best grasp of English grammar out of the four of us I do the editing but I’m definitely not completely fluent. I guess we could try to get someone for free but since it’s most likely going to be a commercial game it would be a bit shitty to not pay the editor – it’s a bit of a dilemma. We’re going to open beta testing at some point and if the testers feel too bothered by the writing, I guess then we’ll try to solve the problem. Bug Dates is absolutely adorable, and it’s fascinating how you managed to create such unique characters to choose to date.
Starting off fairly straightforward , Negligeeis about playing a young woman named Hannah, the new manager of a lingerie shop. Throughout the game, you have the chance to build relationships with your new female hires, including the buxom exotic dancer, Jasmin, the sweet and shy Charlotte, and the sassy Sophie. Negligee, unlike many traditional dating sims, offers bonus endings where you can have multiple romantic relationships with the available characters, instead of being forced to choose one. What seems to be a thinly veiled pretense to look at scantily clad anime women actually includes some clever dialogue, pretty art, and sweet depictions of female romantic relationships. Add GUI (Graphic User Interface)
Coding custom UI for Your Royal Gayness was a lot of work so for this project we’re mostly just going to replace the graphics in the UI folder and change the font. I think it’ll look pretty good and save a lot of time and effort. Real people here would NEVER use honorifics but it’s meant to be a joke about the fact that so many dating sims are set in Japan or vagely Japanese (even if they’re made in a western country).
Ren’Py 8 is a big deal, as it’s the first version of Ren’Py that supports Python 3. At the same time, it doesn’t require big changes to your games. Dating sim that isn’t a visual novel
Both visual novels and dating sims usually have a “Gallery Screen” where you can replay previous scenes which are typically still images. Usually the endings all feature a beautiful art moment but you can also use it for other particularly important points of the story. “Might,” because you are not actually sure, and that is part of the mystery. The names are purposely just the characters roles since each character is meant to be a parody of a certain type of game dev – they don’t need actual names. While it certainly helps – especially for gameplay – it’s really not necessary to play original Japanese visual novels or dating sims. The game takes place in a vaguely Nordic setting but it’s not really specified. The oddity of some phrases is probably simply caused by none of us having English as our first language. It’s regrettable but our budget is zero so we can’t really hire anyone to edit for us.
Suddenly, a strange wormhole opens up, bringing with it two girls who claim to be from a future where a calamity kept you from a relationship with them. Visual Novels and dating sims are still a bit of a niche, but they’re becoming more and more popular. A good game to play with, but it has bugs after player sleeps and heads to school while selecting the “3” choices in class. Whoever is the programmer needs to fix this on the next version, ASAP. Either way I completely sucked the game dry out of it’s contents and felt rather empty. Personally if someone plays the game I’d recommend only going for one girl and waiting for updates.
